Caption title.
This act repeals chapter 72 of the Consolidated Statutes for Lower Canada, but "This Act shall be held not to operate as a new law, but shall be construed and have effect as a consolidation and amendment of the law as contained in the said Acts and parts of Acts so repealed, and for which this Act is substituted"--Cf.
