Freemason - Duncan - on Feb. 3, welcomed delegates who had finished attending the convention and were in the district. Freemason Vancouver - received letter from Cuba that Seto Wing ( ^/fj^_J^^ ) and Mr & Mrs.^C^J^bj had returned to cuba safesly. Over the past two months many Chinese restaurants, laundromats, and stores were robbed. GBA had contacted the police for protection. The^^aa^^aafe- Paper and Vancouver Sun both agreed that Chinese policemen should be employed. Foon Sien was asked to see the commissioner on Feb. 7, to discuss the issue. Foon Sien and his delegation had good talk x with police which promised more patrolling and they agreed to hire Chinese, especially native born as policemen.
