Freemason - Van. - called meeting on Juen 25. Dai Kung Charity School - graduation on June 24; picnic planned by students. Foon Sien - as president of CBA stressed the importance of election which would change the political structure influence life of Chinese in Canada. Foon Sien recommended Campney. Presidpnt Line returned letter to CBA regarding the complaint h£ about inefficient ticket sealing in H.K. The writer stated that under the new system 40 - 50 Chinese Candians were going via U.S. when returning to Canada They did not need visas. But instead a guard would see them through the border. If someone escaped, the ship Co. had to pay $1000 for each. Also the company would make sure that the ticket agents in H.K. were not taking extra money. A delegate had been sent by the Co. to H.JQ to inspect this. Police Department reported that ever since the issuance of club licenses gambling has decreased.
