Vancouver Sun reported an article regarding how an eyespecialist refused to see a Chinese boy. lJiiy'^>~J " Victoria - due to the unrest in China, immigration Department was very strict in re-allowing Chinese (Overseas) to enter. There were now 2 overseas Chinese students who were stopped at H.K. They appealed to the ^\ $^t^l& which helped appeal at the Immigration office in Ottawa. TVas OlS>\] was one °f tne Chinese organizations registered at the gov't and it fought a long history to protect Chinese. In the recent 10 years, it it had tried to unite Chinese and White community and now even political parties had to contact the association for support.
