- Consul General Lai of Van. released an announcement from the External Affairs Department which stated that all organizations, associations or schools in China had to get permission from the department before they started to raise funds from the overseas Chinese. Dverseas Chinese National Establishment Assoc. ( held a meeting on April 13 at 210 Pender. They deciced that the new executive acceptance ceremony would be held on May 18 when all organizations were welcomed to attend and assist in national establishment. Freemason Calgary - a description of the convention. CBA - Victoria - election by locality Association had been held on April 12 and relevant reports had been handed to the Embassy for transmittion back to the Central overseas Chinese Affairs Cttee. Chairman -Chung Wah Hospital - Victoria - some Chinese visited the patients.
