Freemaon-March 29 was to commemorate the 72 heros, and all Freemason Branches also paid respect to that day. The writor of the article then reflected back to the time when Dr. Sun arrived in Canada to raise funds in 1909. Dr. Sun was interfered with landing in Canada by the Ching officials. He was helped by the CKT members in Van. A mass community meeting was hid and CKT was elected to raise funds, using the Chinese Times Office as the Fund raising bureau, and the CKT Association as meeting and offices. Initially CKT donated all the deposit of $300 in the bank, and then mortgaged the associational properties for $84,000. All the money was given to Dr. Sun who had remitted back to Wong Hing and Chiu Sing in China for the revolutionary fund on March 29 in Canton. The properties were only bought back in 1946 thSugh loans from members all over Canada. - list of donors. 43 Restrictive Immigration Law Abolishment Activities Cttee - a meeting would be held on March 29 at Hoysun Association. Freemason (Halifax) - staff inauguration ceremony on March 23rd. Canada Aid to China - Kamloops news - March 28; over $2500 was raised.
