- Freemason - an article commenting on the past and future of Freemason. (An article from the New York Kong Pao). Freemason, which was established in lattfe Ming and early Ching had over 170 years of history. The initial revolutionary leaders/heros, , secretely formed the association to rebel against the barbarian government and revive Chung Wah. The association advocated National salvation, cooperation, brotherhood, benevolence and sweeping out bandits. All meetings were secret and secret codes wereused. The association took part in Dr. Sun's revolution, and was regarded as a revolutionary secret association. Freemason was very powerful and once Japanese tried to take advantage of Freemason influence and control the situation. When the 1st first broke out, only a few bad elements of the association were used by the Japanese. Overseas Freemason also helped the war indirectly by sending money and moral support. After the war, when all parties resumed activities openly, the members wanted to restructure the associationand change it to a patty because it was originally a revolutionary organization. Thus in mid September, 1946, all Freemason leaders gav&e consent to change the association into Chinese Hung Man Freemason Party. The writor urged all Chinese to actualize the motto of Freemason. - a list of donations. Court hearinb about bribery - gambling. Chinese Canadian Citizen Society - held a banquet for the Canadian Ambassador to China at Van. Hotel. Over 1000 cattle, which were mostly bought at B.C. were to be transported to China by U.N. as rlief. CBA Victoria - an emergency meeting on March 21 whereby the Public Relations officer was assigned to contact a lawyer and protest against the proposal by the school board. Ovsrseas Chinese Graveyard buying Cttee - Duncan -alist of donors who donated to buy the graveyard.
