Kong Chow H.Q. Van. - donations list of supporters for Canadian Aid to China. A reminder to the passengers who were travelling on the liners leaving for China from San Francisco on March 14. The passengers were reminded to take the train to the States on March 12th. Kong Chow H.Q. - a general meeting was held on March 8; they discussed matters like re-electing the executives of the reading room, selecting delegates to urge people to ljoin the association. The Chairman asked for help because his son had privately sold lis land in China. The association immediately sent a letter to the Chinese Consulate which in turn contacted the Overseas Chinese Affairs Cttee - which would protect theproperty of the father. Yu Shan H.Q. - a general meeting on March 8 re replacement of the chairman and one executive who were returning to China. Canada Aid to China - the Magician's Performance on March 2 raised over $1000. A name list of donors was posted. Canada Aid to China - news: a Chinese merchant held a chop-suey bazaar to raise funds with the help of Lion's Club. Over $300 was raised. Kong Chow H.Q. executive list; President ; vice Freemason New Westminster - executive list; executive directors - 9 members, a warning to those returning Overseas Chinese - Shanghai news - Feb. 24 - only $100 was allowd to be brought into China. The excess would be confiscated. Hoysun District News - when the relief materials arrived in China, they did not get to the right people, i.e. some of the bad officials had tried to profit from the relief material.
