1) Freemason Van. - Realty Development Division and Tai Kung Charity School directors would hold a meeting on Feb. 29th. 2) Wong Kong Har Tong Man Keong School - the school directors were elected. Foon Sien was one of them. 3) A 70 year old Chinese was arrested for begging on 8th avenue. He was put into prison for 3 months. 4) Freemason London - 3rd anniversary of moving into a new building held Feb. 16. 5) Chung Wah Women's Assoc. - Winnipeg - tea party was prepared to support the aid to China a tivities. All food and handicrafts were donated. The tea^-arty/ bazaar was held on Feb. 22 at Club. Over $470 was raised. 6) Chinese Women's Ass'n Moose Jaw - tea-party/bazaar held on Feb. 17 at CPS to raise funds for war relief in China. 7) Chee Duck H.Q. in Van. - the new association building would be opened on March 23. All memb ers of Chee Duck Branch and Sam Duck Kung Sore were welcomed. 8) Freemason Hamilton - Executive list; 9 members are executive directors. 9) Victoria news Feb. 27; an autopsy had been done and was confirmed to be murdered. The white legal consultant of CBA in Victoria immediately protested the inefficiency of the government because the police had not caught the murderer yet. In the past 10 years, 6 E. Asians were murdered, and not a single murderer was caught. Out of 14 whites, only 2 were solved. 10) The Ex-Canadian Ambassador to China would make speeches on Feb. 26 at the Canada Club. The man was pro-Chinese and felt that the approach of Canadians to Chinese was terrible.
