- A Chinese Grocery Store which was at the same place as a Chinese medicine store as well as a gambling joint in Maose Jaw was for rent. Chinese War Relief Assoc. supported Canadian Aid to China activities by holding events to raise funds. Kong Chow H.Q. helped Sun Hui Fook Ring Tong collect exit charity fees. The names of those who gave in the fee were posted. National franchise Regulation Research Cttee - Victoria released news on Feb. 19 that the Cttee would review the regulations and amend them in 6 months time. On Feb. 20, there was the news that the Cttee was in favour of granting national franchise to Chinese and E. Indians and also to Indians if they served in the war and lived outside the Indian reservation area.
