Freemason - article commenting on General Conference ( ) and the maintenance fee for the general convention- The origins of general conference was found in school systems which held annual general conferences for the parents so that they might know each other better. The 13th general conference was near and donation books had already been distributed, members were encouraged to donate. Immigration Law Abolishment Activities Cttee in the Eastern Provinces; and an emergency meeting was immediately called on Feb. 13 at CBA. Chinese Consulate in Van. announced a message released by the Federal Overseas Chinese Affairs Cttee which was concerned.with upgrading.the cultural and educational standard of the overseas Chinese. It established Overseas Chinese Educational Correspondence School ( ), which would start on March 1. All school teachers, scholars and members of cultural societies were at welcomed to register the Consulate. The school is free but postage money was needed. Wong Hon Sing Athletic Club - final election. - an old Chinese merchant died recently. - description of his funeral party. - died recently. Canadian Aid to China - good donation results. Restrictive Immigration Law Abolishment Activities Cttee - ( ) - received a telegram from Chinese-Canadian.
