- Immigration Ottawa: amendment for immigration law was severely debated in the House of Commons. It was decided to table the issue. 2nd iasue - was about allowing Canadian-born Chinese who served in the war to bring their families into Canada. Freemason Athletic Club Victoria - donors for operational expenses. Chinese Veteran Association - the Chinese Veteran war set up since 1946. The aim was to promote better relationships and communication among the members of the white community. They also fought for national franchise for Canadian-born Chinese; and took part in fund raising for relief to be sent to China. A fund raising banquet would be held on Feb. 19th. Chinese War Relief Assoc. - H.Q. - an executive meeting was held on Feb. 9. The association name would be changed to Van. Overseas National Founding Ad-vocational Cttee f El JJJL^ On Feb. 23, there would be elections for new executive.
