1) Van. Chinese Presbyterian Church - a special meeting on Feb. 9 to conduct slide shows about China. 2) was the agent to sell ship tickets in thie community. 3) Freemason Vancouver - a general meeting would be held on Feb. 8. 4) Chinese Dramatic Society - Winnipeg - ; 26th anniversary would be on Feb. 16th. 1 5) Consul General announced on Feb. 6 about the regulations, interest rate about buying Chinese government bonds. 6) Chinese War Relief Association - would hold a meeting on Feb. 9. 7) - Van. - the members of the association had raised funds to revive the Reading Room in the village. The 1st term had finished and now the name list of the 2nd term donation was posted for reference. 8) Lee's H.Q. - the lot drawing of the annual charity ticket was held on Feb. 2. 9) Discrimination v.s. Chinese had already started in 1897, Feb. 7 when a mass community meeting was held to demand raising of Chinese Head Tax to $500, and only Japanese who lived in Canada for 5 years were allowed to be naturalized. 10) Canadian Aid to China - 4 schools in W. Van., N. Van., Burnaby, and New Westminster donated $175. and theworker of the sawmill company in Kimberley donated $150. 11) Freemason Montreal - a funeral party was held on Jan. 29 for 12) Man Sing Reading Room Van - executive list; executive directors - 7 members. 13) Hoysun H.Q. Victoria - executive list; President ; Vice 14) Lung Kong H.Q. Victoria - executive directors - 9 members. 15) Kong Chos H.Q. Van. - 22nd anniversary was held on Jan. 19. A list of donors for expenses.
