- Hoysun Ning Yeung Association Van. - executive list; president Foon Sien; Vice Yu Shan H.Q. - welcomed the teacher for the Victoria Yu Shan Kung Sore, at the same time, a farewell was given to him because he would be leaving for Victoria. Sam Dak Reading Room - a farewell party was held on Jan. 26 for 3 members. Mr. Wong S. Wo ( ) - an old overseas Chinese died. Freemason Calgary - a telegram was sent to Immigration Minister re: the restrictive immigration laws. A reply was sent back on Jan. 29 acknowledging the receiving of the telegram. Freemason Prince George - the hanging up of the new sign was delayed to Jan.22 due to the painter. Speeches were made. Man Sing Reading Room H.Q. Van. - 22nd anniversary was held on Jan. 19. Thanked the donors. Anti-immigration law activities: Calgary: a general meeting was held on Jan. 26 in a Chinese church to discuss appealing for the abolishment of the law. Telegrams were sent out immediately to the Prime Minister, Immigration Minister, and the External Affairs minister. They demanded abolishment of the exclusion law thus allowing the wives and children to enter Canada. An appeal was also sent to the MP. A cttee was elected to advocate anti-immigration law activities.
