- E. Canada - Freemason Athletic gymnasium fund raising bureau -was previously the fund raising agent for the Freemason Athletic gymnasium in the E. provinces. During the fund raising trip, he was warmly welcomed by the Freemason branches as well as Hoysun H.Q. Dart Coon Club - Van. - a general meeting would be held on Feb. 1. 43 Restrictive Immigration law abolishment Cttee - reminded the Chinese to attend the meeting on Feb. 1. A reminder for those Chinese kassengers for a liner leaving for the Orient on Feb. 3 from Seattle, i.e. the passengers should be at the station on Feb. 2 for train leaving for Seattle. Navy Musical Club - a concert at the shipman's Union at Pender Street to raise funds for Canadian Aid to China. The School Board director encouraged students in B.C. to help fund raise for relief sent to China. CBA and Hoysun King Yeung H.Q. Victoria - supported the Chinese-Canadian United force to abolish immigration laws by sending telegrams to the Prime Minister, Immigration Minister, and External Affairs minister. They protested the laws which were set up in 1923 and they demanded equality. news: the Chinese workers in the area celebrated the spring festival on Jan. 1. 43 Restrictive Immigration law abolishment Cttee encouraged P.R. strategy among Chinese, i.e. try to convey to the white community the defects of the law, hry to foster a better relationship with the white community, so as to gain support, and also behave well.
