- Description
- The Wong Kong Har Tong's 4th convention closed on 16th with the decision to send a telegram to the Premier of B.C. asking the government to grant all the civil rights, including the right to vote, to the Chinese. The Chinese Wong Chin tried to claim the $2100 prize put up by three associations (Kang Chou Association, $6Q0; Sar Do Association $500; and Hu Yin-san and the Cho An Fang, $1,000) for people who pride information leading to the capture and punishment of the parsons who murdered Hu Te ( ). Wong's claim was not met for, that the two convicts who, though received life imprisonment from their first trial, are still in the process of appealing to higher court.
