Description

The Consul General sends notices to leading Chinese organizations inviting them to a meeting for organizing a Vancouver Branch of the Association for Consoling the resistance military officers and soldiers and their relatives (will be referred to from now on as The Consoling Association ). Branches of the Consoling Assoc, have been established in many places in China. It is the purpose of the Chinese government to establish branches of that assoc. among overseas Chinese communities to do the following: to raise consoling funds, to console the resistance military and their relatives, to advocate the brave deeds of the Chinese resistance army, and to expose the enemies conspiracies. All the overseas branches are expected to be under the direction and guidance of the local Embassy or Consulate. New York: An Overseas Chinese received a letter from home saying that over 400,000 have starved to death in Toy San and over 200,000 in Hoy Ping.
