Description
Three Unions (The Union of Automotive Workers, The Union of Shipbuilding Workers and the Union of Shingle Workers) joined in to sign a letter to the Chinese members in their unions says that a united strike of the Chinese workers will not be quite appropriate since workers organizations and actions should not be demarcated on racial or ethnic grounds. The pensior issue and other grievances will be resolved through the respective unions. We vowed to back up Chinese workers at all times, the letter said. Date: July 6th. On July 4, the Chao Lun Association was officially established with a big ceremonial party and the presence of representatives from other leading Chinese organizations such as CBA, the Kung Jai Assoc. and so on.
