Description

1) The announcement made by the 6th functionaries of the Kung Jai Association on the occasion of assuming their duty and of starting the July 7th Contribution Cam^paign. They expect every Chinese to donate no less than CH $100 ( or $6) from June 26 to the end of July. The money will go to the Department of Finance of China. June 23 2) The Bank of China, Toy San Agency announced that there was no such thing as retaining a pro-prtion of remittance as commission. Other matters were also explaines: 3) Victoria: The Medical Aid for China Society sent a telegram to Mne. Chiang in Ottawa requesting her to maRe a speech in Cantonese since most of the Chinese in Canada understand that language better than any other. Her secretary answered the telegram saying that was not possible due to the lack of time.
