- 1) The United Women's Voters Association sent a letter to the City government inquiring about t implementation of "prohibiting Chinese restaurants to employ white waitresses Act". (If there is a legislation of this nature, itshould be implemented promptly. If there is none for Vancouver, then one is needed" the tetter says, "for the sake of Public morality". 2) Victoria: The Toysan Assoc. Headquarter in Victoria and the Toy San Assoc. in Vancouver held a joint meeting. Among the matters discussed they aggeed to send a request to Chinese gov't, to make an inquiry and to punish the Asian Magistrate of Toy San who allegedly put a large sum of relief funds into his own pocket.
