- From September 26 to October 5 (or 4th), CH $600,000 was donated by 1,112 individuals and associations to the Double Ten Contribution campaign organized by the Kung Jai Association. A Chinese Consul may be installed in Winnipeg for the convenience of the 5000 Chinese living in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Chau Luen Kon Sol (or Chao Lun Assocition ) of Toronto was established on Jan. 1. The Association is composed of Zuan ( ), Tang ( ), Hsu ( ), and Hsieh ( ), five surname groups. The Double Ten fund raising campaign organized by the Duncan Resisting Association is underway.
