Description
1) Many receptions have been held to welcome Tang Mu-ping, advisor to Chinese government, who is visiting Vancouver. 2) FrajAser Valley ( ): $224 has been raised by National Salvation Assoc. here for refugee relief. 3) New York: Efforts have been made to improve the procedure of handling remittance. 4) ( ): In a general meeting convened by the Resisting Association, it was decided that every Chinese shall donate no less than $6.50 in the coming "Double Ten Contribution". 5) Duncan: A general meeting was held at Chee Kong Tong to discuss steps to be taken to establish a Chinese school to educate the increasing number of Chinese children of Chinese culture. The idea was originated with the Women's Department of the Resisting Association. More than $500 was raised for that purpose. The school is to be called "Duncan Chinese Public School". 6) Osoyoos: The first anniversary of the Osoyoes Chinese Public School.
