Description
The Vegetable and fruit merchants' Chao of North Vancouver saved CH $5,000 from his wedding for refugee relief. Long Kang Association held a big reception party for the Vice Consul General Chang Wei-chu ("Chang" is the surname of Chang Fei, one of the four founding encestor-heros endorsed by Long Kang Association). The Aviation Construction Association completed their membership recruitment campaign on the end of August, membership fees collected totaled $4,165. This money, from their third campaign has been sent to China. The Canada Branch of Overseas Chinese Education Society showed films, decomentary and educational, at Chen Hwa Shen Theater. Names of contributors to the relief fund campaign organized by Association of Vegetable Sellers in Victoria. ( ): $300 was raised on the occasion to commemorate the July 7th Memorial Day.
