Description

Victoria: Toy San Ning Yang Association, Headquqrter, after receiving a letter from the County Magistrate in describing the critical shortages of the rice and other sufferings of the people, in Toy San, decided that an extensive (fund raising campaign is needed. They decided that every Toy San Chinese in Canada shall donate at least $2. Those who donated more than CH$500 (about $35) will have their names and home towns recorded in a list to be sent to the government to be honoured. Special honours will be granted to those who donat from CH $500 to CH $1,000. Lytton(?) : The Resisting Association raised relief funds through a film show.
