A notice from the Resisting Association announcing the coming celebration of the "July 7th Event", the fourth anniversary of the War of Resistance. Winnipeg: The Resisting Association mobilized a "mass meeting" to refuses to make any contributions to enhance the war of Resistance whatsoever. On June 6, Hu Chai was "led" to a meeting of several hundred Chinese to explain why he failed to make his contributions. Chen Huang-chang, the fund raiser of the same fraternity as Hu's (i.e., Hu and Chen are thought to be related closely to form an exogamous group), said that Hu was not only failing to contribute fund but also abused him and the fund raising bodies every time Chen tried to solicit funds from him. Hu was having nice lectures from the Resisting Association and others and he confessed wrong doing. He agreed to pay his minimum contributions of $39,60 the next day.
