- (-y?</*^^-^ ): The Chinese workers in the gold mines and others have bought $565 gold bonds. The One Bowl of Rice Movement: The objective of this movement is to seek contributions of goods from all possible sources, Chinese grocery, Westerners factories, individuals, etc., then to sell those goods in an "open market" which will take place from Sept. 6 to 9. The market will be located from S. Columbia St. to Far Eastern Theater and Keefer St. The revenue from the sale will be used to help the war refugees and wounded soldiers. Fold Art performances, art exibitions, and tea parties will be held at the same time. Contributions from all over Canada and other countries are welcome. Chairman of the movement: Chen Ping-chien.
