January 7 - The Resisting Ass. and the CBA convened a mass meeting at the Far Eastern Theatre .to welcome the representative of the 5th Route Army, Huang Yuan ^ ^J^L. ^ came to ^* America to raise money to buy raincoats and other supplies for the 5th Route Army. Representatives of the KMT, the Freemasons, the Chee Kong Tong, the Yin Ping Ass. (j&JN^^^P )» Hoi Ping Ass., Hong Chow Ass. ( -ty"^ ), Shon Yee Ass. ( ^ )» Toy Sun Ass., •- Hai Yein Ass ( J^-ftt^ )., Yu Shan Ass., Workers Protection Ass. ( ^-A-i^T^.1^ ), Chang Wing Yung Ass., Wong Kong Har Tong, Shar Do Mutual Society, Wong Wun Sun Society, Jan Wah Sing Theatre Group ( ), The Awakening Theatre Group (^f^ >&/7^3. Lin Huang-Ting ("k^) was tne chairman. - Penticton: $HK 1050 was sent by the Resisting Ass. to Kwangtong to buy airplanes. - Calearv: The Resisting Ass. sent $18,000 to Bank of China in Hong Kong to buy gold bonds. January 7 - In the duty hand over ceremony, the Lam Sai Hor Ass. decided to send $500fi for refugee relieving in Kwangtong. - The CBA and the Resisting Ass. presented a move called "The Long March of the 5th Route Army". $224 was raised. - 2 Westerners robbed a Chinese cleaning and washing shop but was beaten. - Saskachewan: $200 was raised in the duty hand over meeting.
