June 30 - Article: The July First Day - the Overseas Chinese Shame Day - by Yen ( -kj ). - Many years ago this same day, the Overseas Chinese were subjected to discriminatory tens of stringency rules against us. One way to erase this shame and to ensure that the shame will not come back ever is to buy Patriotic Bonds. When our country is strong enough, only then, the shame will leave us for ever. - A special meeting xb of bonds Ass.: It was agreed that every Chinese should buy a minimum of $10 worth of Gold Bonds which will be sold soon. The deadline of Patriotic Bonds selling will be extended 15 days more. - Those who have bought the minimum amount to buy or will be fined. - Chinese Public School held 'parents party' for students' parents. - Victoria: The Freemasons has sent $CH 14,126 to buy bonds. - Moose Jaw: Raising funds to buy medicine for wounded soldiers.
