June 8 - An announcement from the Chinese Consulate says: "All the Patriotic Bonds Associations should present the results of their efforts by May 31. From June 1st on, a new Bond, the Gold Bond will be issued; in cases that people still prefer Patriotic Bonds, they can continue buying it. The above message was from the Mi nistry of Finance. This Consulate advises those who haven't performed his obligations (as a citizen), that is those who haven't bought the minimum amount of P. Bonds shall buy it as soon as possible". ( The minimum as decided by P. Bonds Ass. was $CH 50 per person (per family unit?) - CBA held a tea party for teachers in Chinese schools in Vancouver. - CBA published an open letter for convening a meeting to discuss how to respond to the request from Canton to raise funds for airplanes.
