- Feb. 15 - The Patriotic Bonds Ass. sent $CH 20,000 to Bank of China in Hong Kong. The total sent was $CH 220,000 by now. Plus military funds $CH 1,902,000. - *There were over 3,000 audience attending the meeting at the Cowan Theatre, and many more were not able to get in. But the film was prohibited by the Film Board at the last minute on the grounds that the film contained insulting phrases to the Japanese government and was of the propaganda creed. - Victoria: 5th meeting of the Patriotic Bonds Ass. Liu Kwang-chu reported that Western people urged the Association to send Lion Dance Group to raise refugee relief funds. Bonds selling was expected to speed up to reach the $CH 50,000 point within a few days. A light-green badge of honour will be provided to individuals buying more than $CH 50; a purple badge of honour for women and children who buy less than $CH 50.
