Jan. 4 - *Resisting Ass. punished Wu Chu ( ) for staying in a Japanese owned hotel. They fined him $10 and $CH100. The former will be used for relieving the refugees. The latter, to buy patriotic bonds. Wu was caught by inspectors from the Resisting Association. Vancouver Branch of the Patriotic Bonds Selling Association - Act of the Association: Article 1: The name of the Association is Vancouver Branch of the Patriotic Bonds Selling to Canadian Chinese Association. Article 2: The Association takes charge of the selling of patriotic bonds to Canadian Chinese all over Canada. Sub-division of this Association shall be formed in other cities. Article 3: The Association is located at the CBA in Vancouver. Article 4: Every citizen of Republic of China has the obligation to buy Patriotic Bonds. The minimum buy is $CH 50. Article 5: All the payments shall be clear at one time. Article 6: The exchange rate is $CH 100 equals $31. The surplus will be used as contributions to refugee relieving. Article 7: Selling teams will be formed to sell bonds door to door. Personnel will be installed to accept buying from 1-10 pm in the CBA. Article 8: A temporary receipt will be given at the time of buying the bonds. The receipt shall be used to exchange for bonds at a later date. Article 9: Any revenue from selling shall be handed to the financial branch of this association every day. Article 10: All the functionaries shall attend the usual meeting at 8:30 pm every Saturday. Article 11: All the revenue from selling shall be deposited in a bank. The cash holdings in the association shall not exceed $10 in any weekend. Article 12: All the revenue will be used to buy bonds later. Article 13: Any expenditure that exceeds $5 shall be signed by Chairman, Secretary, Financial Manager of this association. Article 14: The functionaries are all volunteers without payment. Article 15: The revenue of te branches of this association shall be deposited in the nearby bank and a report shall be provided to this association. Article 16: After sending money back to China, branches (of this ass.) shall be required to prepare a report of the date, sum, and so on to this ass. (Article 17-19 are not important.).
