Oct.12 - The Headquarter for Raising Military Funds ( ) finished its operation on the 9th. The total fund raised was $CH 200,000. In responding to the call of the government, all the money receieed after the 9th will be used to buy government patriotic bonds. In the meanwhile, the organization will be changed into "The Vancouver Branch of the Overseas Chinese Ass. for Urging people to buy Patriotic Bonds" (abridged as "Vancouver Patriotic Bond Ass." from now on). ( ^ ^ #^flJ«>& ' ) A refugee relieving office will be formed^as a sub-division of the Ass. at the same time. Oct.12 - 25th anniversary of the Chinese Christians Ass. Winnipeg: At the 8th all-Canada convention of the Freemasons, they swore to support the government to fight the Japanese. They also sent a telegram to Nanking. *t 'o^o.
