- Local News 1.To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Peking Restaurant will give out lottery tickets to customers. 2.Chinese, Liu Tong, was prosecuted for selling privately-brewed liquor. He was found guilty and was fined $300. News from Other Cities 1.***: Chinese, Wang & Wu, are bullying Chinese with the police. While working for Chinese restaurant rants, they are in effect investigating if the restaurants have illegal items. 2.Victoria: During a raid of a whorehouse, police arrested 3 Canadian prostitutes & 2 Chinese. The Chinese are prosecuted for visiting the whorehouse. 3.Ottawa: The Canadian gov’t is revising the bylaws of nationality, so that the women who marry British subjects will automatically become British subjects themselves. However, women who are British subjects can retain their nationality if marrying foreigners.
