Local News 1.Chinese, Ho So, was prosecuted for selling opium. He was found guilty, and was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and was fined $200. 2.Custom officers found a pillow full of opium in a Chinese sailor’s room on a Japanese ocean liner. News from Other Cities 1.Victoria: A Chinese poultry merchant, Tong *** of Heung-shan, was run over by a car yesterday. He has been taken to hospital for treatment, and it is not yet known if his life would be endangered. 2.New Westminster: Chinese youth, Chou ***, was prosecuted for beating another Chinese. The prosecutor has now withdrawn the case.
