- 1. Ottawa: B.C. New Westminster conservative member suggested policies to discriminate against Asians. He asserts that there should be regulations controlling the purchases of real estates by Asians, that their business licenses should be cancelled, etc. 2. Seattle: an arts professor Washington State University (.1^^ ^ ^§ \ j\> ) was prosecuted for raping and murdering a Chinese girl. H§ is now awaiting hearing in jail. 3. Seattle: laundry store owner, Ma ( v% 4~ ), .arrested for possessing opium. Also, 2 other Chinese were prosecuted for opium smoking and waiting hearing.
