1. 2 Chinese were prosecuted for possessing drugs. One was fined $500 and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment. The other was acquitted owing to lack of sufficient evidence. But he will be deported. 2. A Chinese was arrested for running a gambling house. He was fined $50. The 7 gamblers were fined $15 each. 3. Last night, 2 white people were chasing each other so that one was hurt. The victim accused a Chinese for injuring him. Fortunately the whole thing was witnessed by another Chinese who saw what was going on. 1. Winnipeg: A Chinese Lam ( ) was injured by a member of the National Party, Wong Kwang ( ^ ^ ). Wong was found guilty. He was fined $20 and would be under supervision for a year.
