- 1. A Chinese (Tam ) was prosecuted by the B.C. Agricultural Cttee for not paying a fee of $650 for fruit distribution. Tam appealed to the High Court. The judge has determined that, according to the distribution regulations, Tam need not pay the fee. 2. A Chinese, who was prosecuted for selling drugs, is found guilty. 3. Exporter of forest industry MacMillan wrote to the Commerce Dept. saying that Asians (students) should be welcomed to study in Canada. The massive amount of Asian students going to the U.S. have helped to increase trades in that country. News from other cities 1. Kamloops: An old Chinese passed away on March 22. The funeral took place on the 24th.
