1. Dart Coon Club ( jit $J£fe ): farewell party for those who are going back to China. 2. A Chinese was prosecuted for drug abuse. He was released after paying a bail of $50. However, the judge decided to confiscate his bail because he did not show up in court. 3. A Chinese was found guilty of blackmailing a policeman. His bail was expired and he had to pay an additional sum in order to remain free. 4. A Chinese was arrested for running a gambling house. He was fined $50. The 6 gamblers were fined $15 each. News from other cities 1. Alberta ; the CKT here is getting prosperous. It decided that some property should be purchased under the CKT. Each member is asked to donate $10. 2- Victoria: over $100 wroth of tickets have been sold by the Joint Christian Assoc. for the charity show. 3. Toronto: A Chinese was injured and was sent to the hospital. The police suspect that this is a dispute between different teams or parties in Chinatown.
