- 1. Mr. Chow Sei-Hil ( ), an enthusiastic advocate of he Freemasons and worker for his newspaper, passed away yescerday. The CKT ( and Tse-te Association ( £.$r>^i£> ) have started a campaign to raise money for his funeral. 2. A Chinese was arrested for wandering in the streets. He claimed that he was wandering because he had no friends. He was sentenced to jail for a month. News from other cities 1. (Baltimore?) Kok-min Book Club ( % ) held a mee i ing to welcome manager Mr. Chmff ( 1§* )• 2. Victoria: The Chinese Christian Church ( ) will have a charity show to raise mondy for refugees in China. 3. Victoria: Headquarter of Li Hung-sei Assoc. ( ) - spring banquet. 4. Nanaimo: A Chinese from Cranbrook was prosecuted for possessing opium. He pleaded guilty, and was fined $500 and sentences to jail for 4 years. He must return to China after he comes out of jail.
