- 1. A Chinese wrote to the Sun newspaper.to criticize an assemblyman who discriminated against Asian people. 2. A Chinese was not allowed entry into Canada. His appeal has been granted. 3. Two Chinese wereprosecuted for possessing opium. Their case was tried at the district court yesterday, but no conclusion had been reached. It will be forwarded to the High Court. 4. The westerner who murdered a Chinese vegetable seller was found guilty. News from other cities 1. Edmonton: the CKT and Dart Coon Club held a joint spring banquet. 2. New Westminster: a variety show will be held on March 28 to raise $ for expanding the existing tennis courts. 3. Victoria: the Newcastle District representative has always been an enthusiastic advocate of discrimination. Apart from opposing entry to Asian students to join boy scouts, he is now suggesting to the legislature that a law should be passed stopping intermarriage among white and Asians. This suggestion has not been approved.
