San Francisco: 2 Chinese were prosecuted and sentenced to jail for selling drugs. Toronto: The Consul General of the Chinese National Government in Toronto requested the Immigration Dept. to ask Mr. Li Mai-chen ( ^ ^jjLjfiL ) to leave the country because of Li's speeches attacking the Consul. Victoria: Kong Chow Reading Club (_ % %$LJ&. ) 23rd meeting for speeches. ^ Victoria: the B.C. Agricultural Committee (_ ) suggested to the legislature that an investigation of the Asians in B.C. should be made in order to determine how Asians have invaded B.C. agriculture. New Westminster: A Chinese was prosecuted for using his landlord's truck without his permission.
