Farewell party for Consul Po. 2) Due to tight schedule, Consul Po had to turn down the plan of the Ambassador's Associationf for a farewell party. 3) Halifax new re possible revival of restrictive employment. Fund drive was organized by Chinese restaurant owners to protest against this. 4) Nanaimo news. Chan Ming Kan who was charged with smuggling $144,000 worth of opium into Canada was sentenced to 6 years in prison plus $500 fine.
