- August 2 Thursday 3 1) The white merchants warned their fellow farmers not to join the Chinese in protesting the restrictive regulations on the sale of agricultural products. They said that the regulations were passed so as to Check the impending invasion of the Chinese into the market. The cooperation and patience of the whites was needed in order to make this possible. 2) Won Keong School (Van.) School commencement ceremony was held on Aug. 1. 3) Kwong Chi School (Van.) executive inauguration ceremony and school commencement ceremony were held on August 1st. 4) Consul Po had sent a letter to the police dept. in with regard to the murder of Lee Chung Yu. 5) CKT (Kimerley) had set up an "anti-Japanese Ass'n". Names of executives, fund drive was called.
