- July 31 Tuesday 1) News from in Alberta. Lee Chung Yu was found dead in his laundromat. It was blieved that he had been robbed and shot to death by some whites. Some Lee Clan members had come over to Van. to ask for help from the Chinese Consulate. 2) Kwong Chi School (V n.) new school directors were elected. 3) CKT (New West.) had set up an "anti-Japanese Ass'n" . Names of executives. 4) Victoria news. A Chinese was charged with growing vegetables, etc. for sale without obtaining a licence before hand. 5) CBA (Van.) Denunciation against the "new Republic Newspaper.
