- May 14 Monday 3 1) CKT (Van.) Report on the birthday celebration of ancestor Chan Gunn Nam. 2) CBA (Van.) had aent a telegram to both the Northern and Southern governments requesting them to cooperate in defence against Japanese invasion. 3) The Chinese had gathered together at the Chinese Theatre to make speeches on anti-Japan- ese imperialism. Speeches made by Consul Po and other prominent Chinese. At the end of the meeting, telegrams would be sent to Kuo Man Government, Britain, France, U.S. and / United Nations so as to check further Japanese ambition. 4) CBA (Van.) Announcement requesting the Chinese to send in names of candidates for exe- cutive election. 5) Chinese Western Food Cook's Union (Van.) a meeting re anti-Japanese imperialism. 6) Man Wah School (Van.) Farewell party for a teacher.
