- December 2 Thursday p.3 1) CKT. News regarding recruiting shareholdecs for Newspaper in Toronto. 2) CKT. (Vernon). A general meeting would be held on Dec. 15 to discuss uniting all Hung Mun members of district 3 to set up a protective organization. 3) News from Victoria. It was reported that ever since the minimum wage regulations (40c per hour) in sawmill industry had been enforeed on Nov. 1, a number of E. Asianj^ workers were dismissed. Most factory workers believed tha t the white workers were more skillful than the E. Asians. The reason why they were employed previously was due to their cheap labour. 4) Restaxicant workers1 Ass. (Van.) urged members to pay the monthly fee. 5) Dart Coon Club (Cumberland) 5th anniversary celebration on Dec. 19th. 6) Dart Coon Club (Van.) announced dates for executive election. 7) CKT (Van.) announced that all members who had donated $10 or more for the main- tenance1 of the general convention were requested to send in their photos to be hung in the association.
