Description
October 9 Saturday P.I 1) An article on the National Day. P.3 2) Chung Shan Park Establishment Cttee (Van.) Report on its fund raising. 3) Jung Family Association (Van.) meetings held to discuss construction of association's building. 3 representatives were sent to collect share money. 4) CBA (New Westminster) attempted to seek justice and compensation for the family of those workers who were killed in a fire in the living quarters provided by the Co. (The Company had been sued for not improving the living conditions of it's ." workers, however, the charge was eventually dropped without giving any compensation to the family of the deceased.) CBA thus called a fund drive to appeal such an injustice.
