August 7 Saturday ' 3 1) CBA (Van.) 50 donors wrote to appose the association's decision of sending $15000 raise raised funds to the on-strike workers cttee in Canton. (All raised funds were previously sent to which was forced by the government to close down. The remaining funds were thus put back into the Bank of Montreal for later distribution In an executive meetiingheld on August 4, it was agreed that the money should be send to on-strike workers' cttee.) A number of donors objected to such a plan be^cause they feared the raised funds would be given to the revolutionaries instead. They thus asked for using the raised funds for establishment of Chinese Hospital. p.3 2) Ning Yung Yue Ring H.Q. (Victoria) got message about the recent brutality and dist- urbance made by bandits in Hoysun. Mandy was sent back to help the people there. Anti-bandit funds would be called for.
