April 30 Friday P.2 1) It was Deported that many returning overseas Chinese got robbed or cheated upon arrival in Shanghai. P.3 2) Consul Ho's reply to CBA's request re display of pictures which would humiliate the Chinese. He emphasized that he had already reported that to the city mayor, hoping that he would discard all anti-Chinese propaganda. 3) Ottawa news. Possible enforcement of a law which would prohibit the E. Asians from fishing salmon. Issuance of licences would be gradually reduced from 1927 onward and in 10 years time, all E. Asians would be completely excluded. 4) Victoria news regarding donation of furniture and equipment to Hoy/sun High School from members in Winnipeg. Representatives would be sent^ to China to attend the school opening ceremony.
