Description: December 23 P.3 1) CBA Van. The Chinese community did not respond too enthusiastically to the meeting on Dec. 22 regarding protest against the land leasing/buying bill. Many property owners who were informed about the meeting beforehand did not show up. Another meeting would be called dm Saturday. It was reported that the Japanese Consul had already started protesting. It was hoped that Consul Ho would start negotiating with the authorities. 2) CKT Reading Room H.Q.
